The body was located south of Pot Hole Lane in rural Gallatin County.
An autopsy is scheduled to be completed tomorrow, March 9th, and the investigation into this incident continues.
The Illinois State Police and the family would like to thank all of the numerous volunteers for the generous donation of their time and resources during this exhaustive search. No further information will be disseminated at this time.
Jack note: We'll be in Gallatin County tomorrow for an event involving Ang's book; we will bring to you whatever we find out as soon as we learn it, and as we know from past incidents like this, Tony Cox, Gallatin's coroner, does do press releases following autopsies, so we might learn what happened to Brooke quite quickly. We've also learned over the last few days that Brooke is a grand-niece of former Wabash County Judge Stephen Sawyer. Our sympathies are with the family at this time.
