PALESTINE, Ill. - A man wanted on a meth warrant out of Clark County made the mistake of stopping in the village of Palestine yesterday...where he was ultimately served and arrested.
Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing said that at approximately 2:00 p.m. yesterday (Monday, February 11, 2019), he received information of a wanted subject getting into a silver vehicle on E. Franklin Street, then traveling westbound.
Chief Besing located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at Washington and LaMotte, where he made contact with Kristopher Neal Bailey, 30 of Palestine.
Chief Besing checked with dispatch and verified that Bailey was wanted on a felony warrant for a prior Methamphetamine charge out of neighboring Clark County, Ill.
Bailey was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was served the warrant and is being held waiting extradition to Clark County on a $2,500.00 cash bond
