CLAY CO., Ill. - A man from Yale in Jasper County was transported to an Evansville hospital after a single-vehicle accident this morning in Clay County.
Illinois State Police have reported on the accident, indicating it occurred at 2:55 a.m. this morning, Saturday, February 9.
Preliminary investigative details indicate that a 2012 Chevrolet truck being driven by Michael Lewis, 37 of Yale, was on County Road 1850E (Dieterich Blacktop) just south of Clay County Road 900N when he drove off the roadway to the left.
ISP said the truck struck an embankment and came to rest in the left ditch.
Lewis was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital lin Evansville, Ind., via air ambulance; his condition was not been listed.
Any charges to be filed in the crash are still pending investigation, ISP said.
