CARMI, Ill. - A young Carmi woman was taken into custody following a domestic dispute with an apparent family member Tuesday.
Perhaps the age gap had no bearing on the matter, but sometimes, 40-nothings can find out that disagreements with 20-nothings turn physical more rapidly than the same disagreements with folks more their own age.
Whatever the case, that's pretty much what happened yesterday (February 5) when at about 3:12 p.m., Carmi police responded to a call regarding a domestic at Main Cross Apartment on the 200 block of North Main Cross.
There, they found Beth Allen, 25, and one Jeremy Scott Allen, 40, engaged in said alleged domestic.
As a result of the call, Ms. Allen was arrested for domestic battery and lodged at the White County Jail.
Since it's not listed on the police report, there is no presumption here that the Mr. Allen noted as the alleged victim is the Miz Allen's hubby; despite the 15-year age difference, for all we know, that could be her father, not her hubby; this is, after all, southern Illinois.
