HERRIN, Ill. - Following last weekend's suspicious death in Marion, wherein a local guy has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder, now this weekend is seeing another, this on in Herrin.
The Herrin Police Department announced on their Facebook page that they are conducting an investigation into the suspicious death of Jeffery D. Ennis, 50 of Herrin.
Ennis was discovered deceased at his residence in the 700 block of N. 17th Street at 5:18 a.m. today (Sunday, January 27, 2019).
An autopsy has been scheduled. The Williamson County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services are currently assisting with the investigation.
