CARMI, Ill. - Carmi Police made one felony warrant arrest over the weekend without incident.
Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter reports that this occurred Friday evening (January 11) at 7:25 p.m.
At that time, officers traveled to the residence of John Newberry, 44, on the 900 block of Fackney Street, to execute the warrant. It was related to the 2018 felony arrest and charges Newberry is facing in White County, involving Driving While License Revoked three or more times, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police and Resisting Arrest.
Carter reports that Newberry was taken into custody without incident, and jail logs show that Newberry remained locked up as of this morning, Monday, January 14.
