Large amount of currency seized; K9 officer credited with dope allegedly found

FLORA, Ill. - Flora police were on the ball when they stopped a guy on a traffic offense and were rewarded with a meth arrest to go along with it.
Flora Chief of Police Guye Durre said that on Sunday (January 6, 2019) Flora Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop on a white-colored Dodge Ram truck in the 100 block of W. Washington St in Flora.
During the stop, Clay County Sheriff Deputy led K-9 Fallax around the exterior of the vehicle which resulted in an alert on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and resulted in the finding of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, along with over $1500.00 in currency.
As a result of the stop, Ethan K. Doud of Flora was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Doud is currently being housed at the Clay County Jail and bond has been set at $150,000.00.
