CUMBERLAND CO., Ill. - A Greenup woman was killed in a single-car accident yesterday evening after her car went off the road and became airborne.

Illinois State Police in District 12 Effingham report that the accident occurred at 7:27 p.m. yesterday, Monday, January 7, 2019.

ISP said that Julie A. Croy, 44 of Greenup, driving a silver 2005 Dodge Neon, was eastbound on Illinois 121 approximately a mile east of Toledo when she ran off the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle struck a field entrance and became airborne at that point. When the Dodge landed, it struck front-end first in the ditch, then skidded to a stop.
