SHAWNEETOWN, Ill. - The incident that occurred last night (Saturday, January 5) Gallatin County has been clarified.
A source in Old Town has clarified that a stabbing did indeed take place, but not in Old Town. Instead, the stabbing occurred in Shawneetown; the injured man then drove to Old Town, where he ended up at Nate's Bar (initially reported as being the location of the stabbing), where he was able to call for help. The confusion came in from officials who reported they believed the stabbing had occurred at the bar. The follow up tonight clarifies that information.
