WHITE CO., Ill. - A local offender has been jailed after being busted again, this time with meth.
And maybe that latter fact will finally get Joseph Levi Jordan sent off to prison to dry out for a while.
At the risk of setting off his wacky mom Patti Hyatt, we bring you the report issued by the city of Carmi police, wherein it's noted that Jordan, 30, of Crossville, was the subject of a traffic stop yesterday (Thursday, December 13) at 2:50 p.m., said stop occurring on the parking lot of Rock Bottom gas/convenience store/package store.
As a result of the routine checks conducted by police following such a stop, Jordan was subsequently cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle; then he was arrested for having Unauthorized License Plates.
And, as a result of prepping for transport on the arresting charge, authorities say they discovered meth (apparently in the vehicle), and so Jordan found himself facing additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Use Prohibited (apparently relating to the vehicle, something his mom knows all about).
Jordan, a meth felon from 2017, was toted off to the city/county jail and is facing a $4,000 bail. Because Ashley Bebout has been sent off to prison, she won't be around to post his bond, so it'll be interesting to see if his mother has wrangled herself enough "deejay" jobs to get her precious lawbreaker out of the pokey. We'll keep you posted.
