MT. CARMEL, Ill. - Mt. Carmel Police made an arrest earlier today following a months-long investigation into delivery of meth.
Mt. Carmel Police Detective Sgt. Ryan Turner said that earlier today (Wednesday, December 5), the Mt. Carmel Police went to the residence of April L. Swanson, 34, and placed her under arrest for Delivery of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony.
The arrest of Swanson was a result of an undercover narcotics investigation conducted by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. This investigation started in the Summer of 2018 and targeted those selling crystal methamphetamine within the City of Mt. Carmel.
The investigation is ongoing with the anticipation of more arrests.
Swanson was transported to the Wabash County Jail and is being held pending the posting of $4,000.00 cash.
