WHITE CO., Ill. - A woman was sentenced in absentia earlier this week in White County, and authorities are asking the public for assistance in locating her to let her know she's going to prison.

Julie K. Seitz, 47 of Carmi, was sentenced in her absence during the conclusion of a sentencing hearing that began two weeks ago and was recessed Monday, November 26, this according to White County State's Attorney Denton Aud.

Following arguments from counsel, Judge T. Scott Webb sentenced Seitz to a term of 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by a year of parole.

Seitz was also ordered to pay $5,072.34 in restitution to her victim, this in a Class 4 felony Bad Check case dating back to July of 2016.

After that sentencing, Webb also issued a warrant for her arrest.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Seitz is encouraged to contact the authorities.

Donald Terrell

Also sentenced on Monday was Donald Terrell, 49, of Crossville.

Terrell, charged with Class 3 felony Unlawful Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, was sentence to three and a half years in IDOC, to be followed by a year of parole.

Terrell's case, said Aud, was investigated by the White County Sheriff's Department.
