CLAY COUNTY: Folks from Lawrenceville, Effingham, Wayne County in Sheriff’s report roundup

CLAY CO., Ill. - Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers has released his departmental report that covers the majority of November (9th to 26th), and it's big one involving all kinds of out-of-county peeps, so let's get to it.

Nov. 9, B.J. McCammon, 46, Lawrenceville, was arrested on three Clay County Contempt warrants. Total bond for all three warrants $300.00 cash. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 11, Skylar Kerr, 24, Lawrenceville, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Theft. Bond set in the amount of $5,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released. 

Nov. 13, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Jay Clasper, 41, Kinmundy on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Driving While Driver's License Suspended or Revoked. Bond set in the amount of $10,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond on a later day.

Nov. 14, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Harry Z. Strange, 30, on an outstanding Wayne County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent) plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 15, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy cited Daniel Brown, 24, Fern Park, Florida for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Nov. 16, Danielle M. Hubbell, 32, Clay City, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released. 

Nov. 16, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Courtney Smith, 32, Cottage Hills, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released. 

Nov. 17, Brian Medler, 42, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Trespass to Land. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 18, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 8:20 p.m. west of the intersection of Kinmundy Road and Rt. 45 in Louisville. Apparently Donald Powell, 56, Louisville, operating a 1991 Chevrolet was travelling east on the Kinmundy Road approaching Rt. 45 when Taylor Jones, 18, Edgewood, operating a 2015 Chrysler exited the North Clay High School parking lot onto the Kinmundy Road, striking the Powell vehicle. No injuries reported.

Nov. 18, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 9:00 a.m. south of the intersection of South Stanford and Cherrybark Lane. Apparently Markus Bidabe, 30, Cisne, operating a 2003 Pontiac was travelling north of South Stanford Road, swerved in the roadway to avoid a deer, struck a bridge concrete and sign post and then struck the ditch. Bidabe was cited for Leaving the Scene of an Accident/Vehicle Damage, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Operation of a Vehicle with Expired Registration Sticker. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Nov. 19, Dylan J. Butler, 18, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Nov. 19, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Amanda L. Woods, 37, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She appeared in Clay County Court and was released. Woods was also wanted on an Effingham County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She was transported to the Effingham County Jail.

Nov. 19, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested D.J. Hill, 35, Clay City for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, 2 counts, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Violation of Probation. Bond set at $30,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Nov. 20, Justin Bannick, 33, Dieterich, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 22, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Willis Hewkin, 35, Louisville, for Aggravated Battery. Bond set at $50,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Nov. 23, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Joseph L. Morris, 27, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Burglary. Bond set at $6,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 24, James M. Pitts, 33, Salem, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving on Suspended Driver's License. Bond set at $4,500.00 (10%), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.

Nov. 26, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 8:46 a.m. at the intersection of Big Four Road and Iron Mountain Road. Apparently Allyson Ash, 19, Fairfield, operating a 2010 Dodge was travelling south on Big Four Road, swerved to avoid striking another vehicle, ran off the roadway, over corrected and crossed the roadway and struck the ditch. No injuries reported.

Nov. 26, the Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Aven Snyder, 33, Effingham, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant. He appeared in Clay County Court and was released.
