OLNEY—The currently-not-so-smelly, but certainly irritating Brian James O’Neill II addressed the Olney city council last night (Monday, July 22) on mayor Ray Vaughn’s gripe at the July 8 meeting about “speeches lasting too long” and bringing up “religious issues” that Vaughn particularly didn’t care for because he was “just lectured at church” and didn’t feel the need to hear it from an older gentleman. Samuel Jenkins was on the agenda at that meeting to discuss the sale of alcohol on Sundays when Vaughn felt it wasn’t a real matter to be addressed to the council; see this month’s July/August 2013 issue for the full story, on stands beginning today.
