WHITE CO.— Carmi police have handled a number of incidents over the weekend including an outstanding arrest warrant and a traffic accident involving a parked car.

Cody J. Nausley, 16, of 123 Sixth St., Carmi, operating a 2001 Chevy S10, owned by Rex Stallings, of rural Carmi, was cited Friday, October 26, at 5:54 p.m. after he stated to police that he had lost traction in the mud on Herbert Avenue, near Conger Road and lost control of the vehicle causing him to hit a 2000 Dodge Neon, owned by Kelly A, Heads, 53, of 104 Herbert Ave., Carmi.

Authorities say that Nausley was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Subsequent to that traffic stop Stover was taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Display of a Vehicle License when he was allegedly found to be driving a vehicle on which the license plate didn’t match.

Stover was released from police custody later that night after posting a $150 cash bond and a $20 booking fee.

Probation violation
