HERRIN, Ill. - Authorities in the city of Herrin have advised that they've arrested two young men from Florida in connection with a burglary this past weekend at a church in Herrin.
Authorities have stated in a press release that on Monday (October 16), the Herrin Police Department Investigations Unit was notified of a burglary of Our Lady Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
This burglary occurred during the early morning hours of October 13.
During the investigation, the Herrin PD arrested the following persons for Criminal Trespass to Property and Burglary: Cody Patterson, 26 of Apopka, Florida, and Kyle Williams, 27 of Clermont, Florida.
The items taken during the burglary have been recovered and returned to the church. Charges are pending on a third suspect in the investigation.
