Ashley Bebout's latest mug
CARMI, Ill. - People from out of the area must be drawn to Carmi for some reason to get caught over an infraction of the law.
The latest two individuals for this to happen to are from Grayville and Harrisburg, as evidence of proving this point.
The one from Grayville probably has Crazy Patti Hyatt squirming with joy, since the old woman despises Ashley Bebout and has made that despising very evident in the past.
Bebout, 27, the Grayville resident in question, was up to her old tricks yesterday (Tuesday, October 16) when shortly before 5 p.m., she was arrested on suspicion of having stolen a vehicle belonging to one Noel Brown and taking it to the Carmi Motel.
Through a series of incidents that we're not privy to, Ms. Bebout, whose ongoing criminal history screams for a stay in one of Illinois' women's institutions, was also arrested and charged with (surprise!) Possession of Meth, Possession of Cannabis less than 10 grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, this after correctional officers discovered items in a bag Bebout brought in to the jail....where Bebout remains as of this evening.

Then early this morning, a 32-year-old Harrisburg woman was taken into custody for largely the same thing (except, of course, Noel Brown's vehicle)...leading not a few people to opine that maybe Bebout rolled in an effort to aid her cause.
Jacqueline C. Jordan of the 700 block of West Parrish in the 'burg was at a location on the 400 block of Sycamore Street in Carmi when law enforcement caught up to her at 12:13 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, Oct. 17).
Jordan was preliminarily charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cannabis less than 10 grams, just like Ms. Bebout.
And, like Bebout, Jordan remains locked up as of this evening.
