WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - Authorities in Williamson County are taking the search for a man on the run from Pittsburg seriously, while others are wondering why the Department of Children and Family Services aren't.
At least one the children of James G. Marks - the guy who has been on the run with his wife, which you can read about at the link on his name as well as this link - says she has been tormented by her father since they have been on the lam and DCFS has ignored pleas to have her removed from her current situation.
That request came about two days ago on Monday, October 8, when Marks went to where his 15-year-old daughter was staying with his friends and pulled a gun on the man of the house, demanding he see his daughter. He then tells the daughter he is going to go home that night and kill her mother and then go after county authorities and make them shoot him.
Multiple calls have been made to DCFS to remove this child to a safer location where Marks can’t find her. The people Disclosure's correspondent spoke with say they were treated very rudely by DCFS, and reported that the agency - one of the most reviled in Illinois (and pretty much every other state in the union) - told them "if they (the kids) are in danger, call the police."
Disclosure attempted to contact DCFS at 12:08 p.m. today (Wednesday, October 10) and was told the same thing and given the voice mail of an investigator. The call hasn’t been returned.
The 15-year-old child, said a relative, needs to be placed somewhere where the father is not able to be in contact with her and further torment her. Disclosure has spoken with her and she says she wishes police would just do their job and catch him and says "they have had the opportunity numerous times." Both children (17- and 15-year-olds), opine those involved in the debacle, are supposed to be in protective custody by DCFS.
"They are not doing their job," our sources stated about DCFS.
In the meantime, Williamson County has issued an official alert regarding Marks, which follows.

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick is asking the public for help in locating a wanted subject.
James G. Marks, 44, Pittsburg, has an active arrest warrant for Criminal Damage to Property.
Additional charges of Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault are expected.
Marks is described as a white male, about 5’06” tall and about 150 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be in the Pittsburg, Paulton, or Marion areas of the county.
Sheriff Vick asks that anyone who knows the location of James Marks to contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 618-997-6541 or their local law-enforcement agency.
