LAWRENCE CO., Ill. - The agenda for the meeting of the full Lawrence County Board has been made public, and Disclosure presents this to you as a public service.
The full board meeting will be held later today - Wednesday, September 19 - at 4 p.m. at the county board room on the east side of the first floor, Lawrence County Courthouse in Lawrenceville.
Most of the county's business in Lawrence is handled at committee meetings, which are held on specific days according to the board's complicated scheduling. What you'll see at the full board meeting is action being taken on decisions made at the committee meetings, so if you can't attend the plethora of committee meetings and you go to the full board, at least insist on the board explaining to you the action that they're taking...as the public simply doesn't attend the committee meetings and wouldn't otherwise know what's going on because local media generally doesn't attend committee meetings, either.
