CLAY CO., Ill. - Here's your Clay County Sheriff's Department report for late August 2018, as provided by Sheriff Andy Myers.
August 23, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 6:21 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 45 and Roadrunner Drive. Apparently Tharin L. Harris, 20, Louisville, operating a 2000 GMC Utility vehicle, appeared to be travelling south on U.S. Rt. 45, lost control of his vehicle, left the highway and overturned several times coming to rest south of the intersection. Harris was cited for Reckless Driving, Driving while Using an Electronic Communication Device, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
August 24, Amanda Hinnerichs, 37, Sparta, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possesison with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (accountability). Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
August 24, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Shane Horsley, 45, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
August 25, Shannon Borton, 31, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Domestic Battery. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). He appeared in Clay County court and was released.
August 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Misty W. Hill, 48, Clay City, on an outstanding Richland County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
August 25, Kathryn M. Hartley, 51, Cisne, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
August 26, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Chelsea Wenger, 32, Olney, for Driving While Driver's License Suspended and Speeding. She was given a Notice to Appear and released.
August 27, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Dillon Hewkin, 25, Louisvile, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Faiure to Appear on the original charge of Reckless Conduct. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
