MARION, Ill. - The man who robbed a Marion gas station - and was subsequently federally charged for it - has entered a plea in his federal court case.
Evidence at the plea hearing established that, on April 25, 2018, Taylor robbed the Valero Gas Station in Marion, Williamson County.
Taylor is currently being held without bond pending a November 20, 2018, sentencing hearing. The robbery offense carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Marion Police Department, Herrin Police Department, Carbondale Police Department, Murphysboro Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, Jackson County State's Attorney’s Office, and Williamson County State's Attorney’s Office are also assisting in the investigation.
