Busy Flora Police Dept. report with meth, trespassing, wrecks…and meth

FLORA, Ill. - It was typical but busy fare for Flora Police this report, which is provided by Chief John Nicholson.

Thursday, August 9 at 9:22 pm, Flora Police arrested Christine Koehler, 29, of Flora for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cannabis, No Valid Drivers License, Loud Muffler and Operating Uninsured Vehicle, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of West 3rd Street. John Sherman, 24, also of Flora was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstructing Justice and on a Clay County Failure to Appear Warrant. Both underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department, Koehler was able to post bond and was released while Sherman was transported to Clay County Jail.

Friday, August 10 at 3:03 pm, Flora Police arrested Shawn Crutchfield, 18, of Flora for Criminal Trespass to Real Property, following an incident in the 200 block of South Main. Crutchfield was booked accordingly at Flora Police Department and then transferred to Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Friday, August 10 at 8:27 pm, Flora Police arrested Kelly Novak, 48, of Flora for Criminal Trespass and Violation of Bond Condition following an incident in the 900 block of East North Avenue. Novak underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was transported to Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Saturday, August 11 at 12:42 pm, Bradley Williams, 32, of Flora was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, Speeding and No Valid Registration, following a traffic stop on Old Route 50. During the stop, Miranda Williams, 30, of Flora was issued Local Ordinance Citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cannabis. Justin Schofield, 37, of Flora was also issued a Local Ordinance Citation for Possession of Cannabis. Bradley Williams underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.

Monday, August 13 at 11:35 pm, Flora Police arrested Jason Niemeyer, 40 of Teutopolis, for Driving While License Revoked and Expired Registration Sticker. Niemeyer underwent booking at Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.

Monday, August 13 at 12:57 am, Jorie Fulk, 26, of Olney was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle, following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Street. 

Wednesday, August 15 at 3:45 am, Flora Police arrested Casie Williams, 31, of Flora for Criminal Trespass to Vehicles, following an incident in the 800 block of Meadowview. Williams underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.

Wednesday, August 15 at 3:38 pm, Flora Police investigated an accident on Vincennes Ave, involving a 2008 Buick operated by Morgan McWilliams, 26, of Flora and a 2007 Dodge operated by Danny Bradham, 69, of Flora. McWilliams was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, August 15 at 5:12 pm, Flora Police arrested James Schwabe, 56, of Flora for Driving While License Revoked following an incident at the intersection of Mill Street and Fair Avenue. Schwabe was booked accordingly and released with a Notice to Appear.

Thursday, August 16 at 5:17 pm, Flora Police arrested Trinity Payne, 23, and Tiffany Miller, 40, both of Flora on Clay County Warrants for Possession of Meth, following a traffic stop on Mill Street. Both Payne and Miller were taken to Flora Police Department prior to being transferred to Clay County Jail.
