CARMI, Ill. – A man from Norris City was the sole arrest Carmi Police made yesterday, this after an alert officer made a traffic stop.
The stop was made on Kevin E. Hosman, 40, of West Orchard Street in Norris City.
Reports indicate that officers saw Hosman driving, made a positive ID, and pulled him over, this at about 6:13 last night, June 6.
He was toted to the county jail, charged with Driving While License Revoked.
Hosman was able to post bond to secure his release.
In other Carmi PD activity, an accident yesterday at 4:35 p.m. was reported at the railroad tracks in east Carmi.
Clarence Lucas, 35, of McLeansboro, driving a 2008 Ford F150, stated that he failed to stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him being driven by Jule L. Irwin, 45, of Crossville, who was in a 2014 Fiat that was slowed/stopped in traffic.
There were no injuries reported.
