WHITE CO., Ill. - A man from Kentucky was sentenced Wednesday in White County Circuit Court to an IDOC term, according to White County State's Attorney Denton Aud.
Aud said that Christopher S. Newman, 29, of Sebree, Kentucky, was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, this after a plea in White County yesterday, Wednesday, June 6. Newman pled guilty to the Class 3 felony; as well as his sentence, he must serve a year of parole upon release, and he must pay all associated fines, costs, assessments and restitution, amounting to $1,333, none of which has been paid..
White County Sheriff Doug Maier's department was the investigating agency.
