MT. CARMEL—We’ve learned that the chief of police of the city of Mt. Carmel, John Lockhart, is undergoing treatment for cancer.
A fundraising effort is underway to assist in his expenses.
T-shirts with this logo are being sold at Family Dollar in town (on Walnut Street) in an effort to help.
We don’t know what kind of cancer Lockhart has, but we know what the fight’s all about. We support everything everyone’s doing in order to help him through, and reiterate our assertions about the American Cancer Society and how they don’t do a thing to help cancer victims, only themselves…it’s the local people who pull together and rally for support of their friend/loved one who is enduring this condition, not a huge, not-for-profit organization
